Monique Cole
is a freelance writer and editor
specializing in outdoor sports, adventure travel, health and
parenting. As a magazine writer she has mountain biked on the
snow-covered Iditarod Trail, ridden waves under a full moon in
Hawaii, and searched for the reasons why ultra-marathon runners
do what they do. Her work has appeared in Outside, Islands
and Hooked on the Outdoors magazines, and the Denver
Post, among other publications.
After co-authoring the first guidebook
of its kind, "Trail Runner's Guide to Colorado," she
helped launch Trail Runner Magazine, where she continues
to serve as senior editor. She has also bridged the gap between
journalism and copy writing through projects for a number of
outdoor companies. She recently returned from Colorado to Hawaii,
where she was raised, and now works from a home office with a
view of one of the world's best surf breaks.
